As promised, here are pictures from the trip.
Absolutely gorgeous.
My kids sitting at a bar.
This is Coconut's.
It was a great place with a dog, a cat, chickens, and two parrots.
The kids were fascinated.

There were lots of funny signs like this around the bar.
We spent some time on the beach and in the sand.
Heaven for the kids.

Look at this little tushie!
They also spent some time in the hotel pool.
It was cold so they were the only ones in it.

She was adorable all weekend!
I took a turn wearing her crown.

Then I took a picture of Chuck.
We went out to dinner the last night where I drunkenly dined on lobster and a drink called Sexy Chocolate. I was definitely in over my head on this and ended the night with hiccups and passed out in my bed. Ugh. But the whole family enjoyed the evening.

My son's ridiculously long tongue.
Just fun.
My Sexy Chocolate.
And on our last day, we went to see some Mayan ruins.
This is far from my cup of tea.

But, Chuck's dad loves it.
The kids enjoyed seeing the iguanas which were everywhere.
It's like an Eye Spy book.
See if you can spot the iguanas in these pics:

And after our trip to the ruins, we rushed to the airport so we could return to the freezing weather at home. Still, we had a really nice time with lots of delicious food.

What a fun trip! My family visited those same ruins. I remember it was a long hike to the top.
Gorgeous photos and I'm so glad that you all had a great time. I would love some sun and higher temps right now. Ohio winters are sooo freakin' long.
Where was George?
that martini sign cracked me up!
and i l love evie in her tutu suit, too too cute!
glad you guys had a good time!
Cute! And I really love your striped strapless top/dress!
I don't know why but for some reason pictures of Chuck always make me laugh...why is that I wonder?
I LOVE the pictures of you in your crown and with your drink. What a great vacation!
Thanks for sharing your photos so we can "travel" with you. :)
P.S. where can I pick up one of those tu-tu swimsuits..for myself..jk. I wouldn't look quite as cute I'm sure. :)
Angie - Chuck ALWAYS makes me laugh, so I know what you mean. He's just a funny guy in general. Until he gets annoying and reverts to stupid puns. Seriously, I hate it when he sinks to that level of humor.
As for the tutu suit - you may not look great in it, but I bet Rachel would be adorable. You can get it at Target for $10!
Oh, and Angela - George was with our good friends Tim and Stephanie for the weekend. There's no way I would call it a vacation if I was handling a two-year old the entire time!
I KNEW that little thing looked familiar. I picked it up last week while birthday shopping for Rachel and Jake was all against it (something about being too poofy...). He just doesn't get it.
Chuck had similar concerns about how Evie was going to swim in it. I looked at him like he was crazy. She did just fine.
