So it has been awhile. I've been busy. Throwing baby showers, attending three-year old birthday parties, and of course, working. Husband is so understanding and supportive. For the last two weeks I started doing Boot Camp from 5:30 a.m. to 6:30 a.m. I have never been an early riser and in fact, I am really not a morning person. Nonetheless, I feel like I have no time to work out and the only time that won't interfere with work or my family is early in the morning. The only problem is that around 9:30 a.m. I start to doze off at work and that is completely unacceptable. First of all, I am too busy to be sleeping and secondly, that is just plain wrong to do at work - at any work, volunteer or otherwise. So, I'm concentrating on keeping a regular flow of caffeine in my system so that I can be more awake. The quandry is whether the benefits working out outweigh the benefits of a good night's sleep. What do you think. Personally, I am in favor of sleeping an extra two hours (if I don't get up at 5:00 a.m., I get up at 7:00 a.m.). Plus, I haven't noticed a fabulous change in my body yet. I go five days a week for four weeks. I just started the third week today. Husband thinks it is good for me, and he is undoubtedly right, but I'm trying to decide whether I'm up for another month. I put my bathing suit on yesterday and the fat rolls said, "Yes, keep it up!" Yikes!
Meanwhile, the kids are gorgeous and spunky. Luke makes me laugh everyday and Evie is becoming more defiant. I found her sitting in the living room on her little chair which she had hoisted up on top of the coffee table. She sat there looking way too comfortable while she drank out of her sippy cup and watched tv. She would have been the perfect picture of a male watching sports if she had just put her hand in the belt of her pants. What a lady.
Luke smushed his finger yesterday in a window -- don't ask me how. It took him an hour to get over it. I was tempted to take him to the hospital to get an x-ray. He babied that finger more than ever. We even took the Dora the Explorer band aid off because it hurt. Must've been bad.
