Tooth Fairy Is Losing Money!

I know I'm behind. Please forgive me. I ended up having to stay at home with the kids during Thanksgiving break, and I swear, I have no idea how stay at home moms ever get anything done!

Anyway, the big event of the week is that Evie lost two teeth in a matter of days! Chuck tried to pull the tooth earlier in the week, but it didn't move and only pissed off Evie. We felt pretty bad, because we were sure that it would just pop right out.

We were wrong.

Finally, on the day after Thanksgiving, Evie's godmother pulled one of her top teeth out because, I swear, it was hanging there just waiting to come out. Evie was thrilled after the event took place, and was even more thrilled when she found out that there is a little-known tooth fairy rule that the price of your tooth increases when it is pulled by your Godmother. So . . . Evie ended up with $5 under her pillow that night! What a lucky lady.

The next day, her other top front tooth was so loose, I was certain she was going to lose it while eating. But, she didn't. Chuck tried to pull it, but it wouldn't budge. Then, last night, Evie showed me how the tooth was hanging precariously at a very odd angle in her mouth. I insisted on pulling it and, for once, she was totally fine with it. So, I am proud to say that I successfully pulled my first tooth. I really have the heebie-jeebies about these things. I did not inherit my mother's unexplainable fetish for pulling teeth. I personally think it is rather disgusting.

So, now my dearest Evie has been singing "All I Want For Christmas Is My Two Front Teeth" as you can see here.

I wouldn't call it a stellar performance, but it is certainly better than George's performance which he insisted I had to record.

Yeah, I really have no idea what that was, but we are definitely wishing you a Merry Christmas!

How adorable!

And yes...pulling teeth is yucky and I'm not sure that I could ever do it. But then again, I swore I could never clean someone else's nose and I seem to handle that just fine now. ugh!
