Valentine's Day

I have so much news to share with you all about my fabulous weekend in Houston and my sweet little Valentines at home, but today I'm bawling my eyes out, holding my breath, shaking my head with sorrow, and praying fervently for my dear friends who lost their four-year old son last night. He had been suffering from seizures that the doctors believe to be resulting from a genetic disorder. Unfortunately, his recent stay at the hospital was his last and his sweet parents and two siblings are now facing the reality that God called sweet Eli home very quickly. Please offer a prayer (or more than one if you choose) for this wonderful family and all the friends that will miss sweet Eli.

While you do that, I will try to pull myself together so that I can focus on the mundane tasks of my job, that seem to mean very little in the grand scheme of things today. And, for those of you who have children, thank God for their health, and hold them a little extra longer tonight.

Much love to you all on this Valentine's Day.

My prayers are with you and your friends. My friend, Kristi, found out her mom had advanced esophageal cancer right after Christmas and then died the last Monday in January. Luckily, Kristi and her family got to spend a wonderful Christmas with her Mom here in Houston. It really makes you appreciate what you have.
