A Very Bad Day

Chuck was diagnosed with Strep Throat on Wednesday, after contaminating everyone he came into contact with on Tuesday.

Evie woke up with a sore throat on Thursday and was diagnosed with Strep Throat after throwing up twice at the doctor's office. After determining that she would probably not be able to keep any oral antibiotics in her system, Dr. M ordered a shot of antibiotics. The poor thing was miserable before the shot and she just got worse after the shot. She thew up two more times after we left the doctor's office - the 108 degree weather did not help.

Luckily, we got some anti-nausea medicine for her too and she was at least able to keep some water in her system that afternoon. She spent the rest of the day and evening laying on her bunk bed watching movies on my laptop. I insisted that the other children had to stay away. We'll see who comes down with it next. I'm the most likely candidate since I kiss Chuck and handled Evie all day yesterday. So far, I'm okay, if a bit tired. Evie, on the other hand, is back to herself and spent the morning telling her brothers what to do. It was lovely to see her back to normal. I don't think I had ever seen her quite so miserable. She announced this morning that she "had a very bad day yesterday." I completely agree. Poor, sweet girl.

Poor little gal...

If you get it I say milk it for all it's worth and take a day or two to relax (unless you're feeling too crappy to even do that, which I hope isnt' the case but actually I hope you don't even get sick). :)

Have a great weekend!
