1 Hour

I faxed the signed contract to put our house on the market over to our realtor yesterday afternoon at 1:30. At 2:30 I got a call requesting a showing that evening at 5:30. My house had been on the market only 1 hour! I looked at the phone incredulously (does anyone else do this? - as if the speaker on the other end can see me and know that I think they're insane). I replied, "WHAT?! Are you kidding me?!" The voice on the other end (a lovely woman named Francie) replied, "I know sweetie. I told the person that you had a little baby to take care of . . ." Me, "Yeah. (Pause) 5:30 tonight? Uh, nooooo. We can't do that."

Hell, I didn't think anyone would want to see it today. I mean, the sign isn't even up. I haven't given them a key. We thought we had a few more days to get the house in order. So I agreed to scheduled the showing for this morning at 10 a.m. Chuck and I hired a crew of cleaning women to come in and make the place look presentable and we busted our asses to get the place showable. the cleaning women came in at 7:00 and stayed until after 11 p.m. They worked their asses off right along side us. I am exhausted!!!! No word on the showing. All I could think as I hauled my ass all over the house cleaning up and straightening, was that this person better not be someone who just wants to come check out my house. It better be a serious person in the market for buying, not browsing.

Oh, and to top off the evening, I had to work on this crazy document and was up late trying to finish that up. I didn't finish, so now I'm busting my ass at work (as usual) trying to wrap it up.

Peace out. Hopefully, things will slow up by the end of the week!

Why are you selling your house? Kris and I are in the market to buy, but I am afraid that is too much of a commute. :-( Good luck though!
