So, this year, instead of Science Lab (which was WAY over my head, even in kindergarten), I decided to volunteer in the Library. This is a much wiser choice for me. The Dewey Decimal System came back to me like riding a bike. Anyhow, here are the popular first grade book choices.
Kat Kong
(Luke brought this home this week and his copy was falling apart)

Dogzilla (a sister book to Kat Kong)
I Spy (all different varieties)
Scaredy Squirrel
(a new book, I guess)

So, I'm comfortably ensconced in a volunteer position that doesn't intimidate me and, for that, I am grateful.

I went back and read the post about Luke’s school auction and I have to admit….his school’s parental requirements are almost frightening. In fact, they make me feel guilty for lacking in school spirit and the motivation to serve on committees.
They have some REALLY fun things going on there but man, I get tired just reading about them. Good luck!
Yeah, it's a whip. I'm rather overwhelmed by most of it.
Maybe high school will be better. I admit to lacking the school spirit and I just look at the OPA (Orchestra Parent Association)parents and sigh. I just can't commit to more than I have on my plate right now.
If I were SAHM - Hey yeah, let me bust out my apron and cook, or my sewing machine and make somthing. But it ain't gonna' happen in this lifetime.
I believe my time is better spent working and caring for sick people. Somebody has to do it and I am good at my job.
You could always just leave the country to get away from PTA responsibilities like me. Just kidding - but you could.
Got to love the library! And his Librarian, Mrs. Nader, is a super star!!! Tell her you know us and she should be even more nice to you than I'm sure she already is. I love talking to her at all our library events. :0)
