Umm . . . what is that?

So, Evie received a doll from her Nano and Pawpaw for Christmas. Here's a picture of her holding little "Paul."

Look closely. Yup - that's what you think it is.

As Chuck was pulling it out of the package and handing it to Evie, he felt a bulge and said, "Umm, what is that?" Chuck peeked into the underwear of the little doll and found that it was an anatomically correct boy doll. That's right. To be specific it is an uncircumcised boy doll and it pees too. Chuck's dad turned three shades of red when he found out he had bought his little granddaughter an anatomically correct boy doll. What are you going to do?

Since I basically missed Christmas altogether, here are some pics of the kids from Christmas day in front of both our trees.

This is Christmas morning with the kids' favorite toys. Luke got a lightsaber and Evie got a wand. You'll notice we got a different tree because our other tree died the week before and was starting to stink.

This picture is in front of our other tree with the kids in their Sunday clothes. They were sweet and very excited about Christmas.

Actually, I looked all over for a boy doll for Colt when he was little. What impact has "Paul" had on Evie's sensibilites? My guess would be that you think more of it than she has. You might like Paul later when the question comes up from the boys about uncircumcised versus circumcised.
It is a really cool doll, but then I am a nurse and I appreciate that kind of thing.

I can't believe you posted this Sunday - Mom and I were in Harrod's on Sunday and she told me this very story! Strange thing is that it is almost word for word what you wrote. Weird.

Joan - there haven't been any negative effects from the doll nor am I worried about any since she sees George's and Luke's stuff every day, but it is still so funny!

Many mothers feel that re-usable pads offer more circulation and are a better aid while dealing with thrush or sore or cracked nipples. The nurse practitioners are considered as the high level or senior level nurse; hence the amount of their salary is better than the junior level nurses. I loved the story of little Evie receiving the anatomically correct boy doll, Paul. Over 30 years ago I searched high and low for a reasonably priced boy doll. Finally I took a cloth "Dapper Dan" dressing doll, made him "equipment", cut the front out of little boy underpants and Dan was indeed "Dandy". My son, then 2 1/2 loved that doll that he called a "real" boy. A year or so later my friend came over with her boy/girl twins who were a year younger than my son. Apparently her son had a "Dapper Dan" and her daughter had a "Dressy Bessy". I heard a loud squeal of delight as her daughter said, "Look mama, his Dapper Dan has a REAL BEBE!"
