Conversations

Oh the conversations that take place at my house never cease to surprise me and make me shake my head.
______________

Luke: Are burglars fat?

Me: They can be, I guess. They come in all shapes and sizes.

Luke: Triangles?!

______________

The kids really want a cat, but I've told them that we can't get another cat because I'm allergic (which is true).

Evie: I know what we're going to do! We're going to wish to Santa Claus that you aren't allergic to cats.

Me: Do you think Santa can do that?

Evie: Yeah.

Me: We'll see.

Evie: Hmmm. Maybe the Tooth Fairy can do that.
______________

While saying our evening prayers the kids always want to ask for blessings.

Me: Luke, who do you want to bless?

Luke: China!

Me: Okay, why is that?

Luke: Because they have awesome music!
Da da dee da dee dee da . . .

Me: Wow. Alrighty then.

(Evie, on the other hand, wanted to bless the "Whole Wide World!")
______________

I imagine that most kids are like this, but the daily conversations just kill me. Their brains work in such different ways!

Seriously, what's Luke's obsession with fat?! :)

I think it may stem from my constant bitching about being overweight. The other day he said he was exercising so he could lose weight. How awful is that?

Oh that George! I'm sure I'm in store for a treat with that one. I taught him to sing "Monday, monday" this week. Precious!
