Small update

Less stress these days since I'm handling the peripheral parts of the trial - you know, the grunt work. Still, I love it. I actually got 8 hours of sleep last night and an hour nap at my desk yesterday. Perfect! I never thought I'd get to say that I took at nap at my desk and know that my bosses would approve. Greatness. I was sooooo tired. Anyway, I got to take Luke to school this morning and that was nice, despite the fact that we were running late and I had no makeup on (and I vowed I wouldn't go anywhere without makeup on in this town. oh well.) Every morning, the Principal of the school stands on the front steps and greets the students and parents who are coming into school. It is rather picture perfect if I do say so myself. Sometimes, you need a little "picture perfect" in your life. So the other day, as I walked Luke up the steps, Luke looked at the principal and said, "Mom, that's our President!" I looked surprised and said, "Oh! Really?" Luke nodded his head indicating that the "President" is obviously someone of great importance. I said, "Do you mean he's your Principal?" Luke looked at me like I was an idiot, and said "Yeah." Obviously he was thinking, "Uh, hello? Didn't I just say that?" He's so damn precious.

As for the other two, they are sick. We sent George back to school part time and within 48 hours he was sneezing boogers all over the place. Now Evie and Lindsey have become infected. It's only a matter of time before we're all wiping green snot out of our runny noses.

Ok. There's the update. I still need to send more pictures, but it might take a while. Until then, check out this cake that Lindsey made last week. She even whipped the cream and frosted the cake herself. Unbelievable!

Way to go Lindsey. Great cake. As for you Theresa, I'm glad you were able to get some sleep.

Whoever thought that you would be so desperate for sleep that you would brag about it someday?
It is the one thing I love to brag about - precious, delicious, incredible sleep!

UM, that cake looks freaking awesome. Go lindsey!

Glad you are getting some rest and hope the green boogers stay away from the rest of the clan!
